Our Executive Director

My name is Janet Webb-Barnett, and I am the owner and operator of Future Leaders Academy. I have owned the facility for 10 years starting as an in-home daycare and growing to a large center within a residence. It is very important to me that a child establishes a strong foundation for their education during the early learning years of their life. It is important to make learning fun and relaxing. It gives me great pleasure to watch children learn and grow. I have a husband of eleven years (Mr. Patrick Barnett), two daughters (Crystal and Taylor) and four grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, horseback riding and shopping.

Most of the children call me Aunt Janet. My birthday is August 1, I’m from Wilmington North Carolina and I have my Associates degree in Early Childhood from CPCC. I have at least 20 years in working with children. I have worked and currently still do work with children with special needs as well as operate my own daycare for typical children. My favorite color is purple and my favorite vacation place is Paris.
